4. Program and Mobilizing Meeting for the CT Antiwar Movement: Prepare to build local actions on March 19, and the national action on April 9!
2 pm. Hear Maggie Zhou--Massachusetts scientist and UNAC activist who took a No War No Warming resolution to the global climate justice talks in Cancun--on why our very survival depends on connecting the struggle against the wars and global warming  into a powerful movement.
3 pm. Major gathering to plan coordinated activity to build March 18; April 9; Bring the War Dollars Home campaigns in Hartford, Danbury, Bristol, and New Haven; responses to the McCarthyite congressional hearings against Muslim Americans; Israeli Apartheid Week, and Stop the FBI Harassment. We will have thousands of full color flyers and stickers for April 9 available at this site.

6. Save the Dates!  Maureen Murphy, Managing Editor of Electronic Intifada who has been subpoenaed for the witch-hunting Grand Jury in Chicago will be in the region from March 3-5 to speak at Harvard.  Plans are gelling for her to speak in CT on Friday night March 4 or Saturday night March 5.
7. Saturday March 12:  Public Forum to build support for Hartford City Council resolution to Bring the War Dollars Home and send buses to the national April 9 demonstration in NYC.  For more info call Hutch at 860 680 6314.
8. Monday evening, March 14: Hartford City Council hearing and vote on Bring the War Dollars Home. Be there.

10. Greater New Haven Peace Council invites you to join in organizing a full month of daily (March 15 to April 15 - tax day) public vigils/protests/tabling in New Haven to call for an end to the wars and to re-direct resources to local needs. They  propose that different groups/organizations each take responsibility for only one day (Sun., or Mon., or Tues., etc.) each week to be at the location and time of their choosing with the theme: The Endless Wars Are Killing U.S.: Fund Jobs, Human Needs and the Environment. For more information call Henry Lowendorf at 203 389 9547.
